Hint: The UNO is called the United Nation Organisation. It is an international governmental organisation that aims at maintaining peace and security between and in all the countries of the world and was established after the Second World War.

Complete answer: The United Nations Organisation was established by the global powers of the twentieth century as they had suffered huge losses due to the two World Wars fought in a period of 31 years. So, to save the World from such disastrous adventures of a few fanatics, a global organization with great authority was established on 24 October 1945. The two main aims of the United Nations Organisation are:
1.To maintain international peace and security between and in all the countries.
2.To promote international cooperation in the spheres of economic, social and cultural developments.
3.To develop friendly relations among different nations on principles of equal rights and self- determination
4.To recognise the fundamental rights of all the people of all the countries.

Note: The aims of the United Nations Organisation were more or less similar to those of the League of Nations. However, the League of Nations had no formal charter (Like the Atlantic Charter) by which the countries were bound to the organisation which made it a weaker authority.
