Noise pollution is basically the propagation of noise with ranging impacts on the activity of human or animal life, most of them harmful to a level. Generally sound generated by vehicles, horns, loudspeakers, planes, construction etc. are reasons for noise pollution.
Measures can be taken to prevent noise pollution
$\bullet$ Shut the door when using noisy machines – we can shut the door after we turn on washing machines , dishwashers for kitchens or where it is kept or we can turn them on before leaving the room so that overlapping exposure to loud noises can be reduced.
$\bullet$ Using earplugs :- Use of earplugs or earmuffs can bring down loud noises to a manageable level.
$\bullet$Lowering the volumes :- We can listen to the songs , radios, fm , TVs in lower volumes.
$\bullet$ Stay away from noise :- Noise producing industries, airports, vehicles should be far away from residential areas as it is very dangerous for infants and senior citizens.
$\bullet$ Control Noise level near sensitive areas :- There should be control on noise level ( silent zones ) near schools, hospitals.
$\bullet$ Use Noise absorbents in noisy machineries :- We should check for pieces of machinery which are creating noise due to vibrations and put some noise absorbents to reduce noise.
$\bullet$ Use Proper Lubrication and Better Maintenance .

B. Increased risk of cardiovascular diseases
C. Psychological disorders
D. Insomnia ( poor sleep )
E. Interfering with speech
Note: Noise pollution affects both health and behavior. Unwanted sound is associated with several health conditions including hypertension , high stress levels, tinnitus , hearing loss, sleep disturbances , cardiovascular diseases and other harmful and disturbing diseases.
