Complete answer:
According to the constitution of India, the Apex court is the head of all other courts and is denoted by a single integrated judicial system. This means that the Supreme court is the Apex court and all the other courts like high courts of the states and other subordinate courts in the districts all work or function under it. In the judiciary system of India, the Supreme court is the Apex court which is located in New Delhi, the national capital of India. The Supreme court is presided by the chief justice of India. The highest authority that safeguards the privilege of citizens and retains the constitution of India is the Supreme court. The powers over the operations of the other courses are also maintained and governed by the Supreme court. To ease the administration, each state in India has its high court, and to further ease the burden of administration, each district in every state has its district court. An appeal from a lower court for a legal proceeding is directed to the high court and an appeal in the high court is directed to the Supreme court. In the whole country, a single criminal law and civil law system are performed.

Note:There are in total 25 High courts in India that are present in each state of the country. The commissions and quasi-judicial entities are also included in the judicial system of India in addition to the courts.
