Hint:Nutrition is the organic process through which an organism assimilates or consume food that can be used for their growth and maintenance, Nutrition contains macronutrient and micronutrient, which is required according to their quantity in the body.
Complete solution: Plants are autotrophs; they make their own food by using abiotic material, while animals obtain their nutrition, by feeding on other animals or plants for getting the proper nutrition which is necessary for maintaining their health.
Macro nutrition:- It is composed of macronutrients such as carbohydrates, protein and fats which is a good source of energy and amino acid that is required to operate body function and build up the body. The macronutrients are composed of macro elements such as Carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, Sulphur, phosphorus and oxygen.
Micronutrition:- It is a type of nutrition that is required in a certain amount if it exceeds in body causes problems to the body and their deficiency also causes deficiency disease or metabolic disorder in the body. Micronutrition is composed of micronutrients such as mineral elements like, iron, copper, cobalt, magnesium, manganese, zinc, iodine, selenium and aluminium, these elements are part of certain enzymes or vitamins, vitamins are also part of micronutrient that is required in a small amount.
Note: Micronutrient deficiency leads to certain kind of deficiency disease such night blindness, which occur due to absence of vitamin-A, Vitamin –D deficiency cause rickets, vitamin-C deficiency cause scurvy, biotin deficiency cause hair fall, iron or folic acid deficiency can cause anaemia and iodine deficiency can cause goitre disease.
