Hint: There are four main spheres of the earth : lithosphere representing land, hydrosphere representing water, biosphere representing living organisms, and atmosphere representing air. We cannot sustain ourselves on Earth if anyone is removed.

Complete answer:
A.E.H.Love discovered the concept of the lithosphere in 1911 and Joseph barre well developed the detailed concept of the lithosphere. The lithosphere represents the land surface of the Earth it is the rocky outer part it is made up of continental crust This crust and upper mantle of the Earth represent the lithosphere. Here the core, mantle, and crust are the components of the lithosphere. When other elements get reacted with the oxygen rocks are formed in the lithosphere it consists of silicates.
The name lithosphere is derived from the Greek word “lithos” meaning rocky.

The lithosphere also decides the location of continents its movement causes the earthquake, volcanos, and mountain range. The seafloor lithosphere is made up of minerals, iron, magnesium, and silicates. The lithosphere in other planets is similar to that of Earth; the components in the lithosphere of other planets consist of Hydrogen, Helium, Oxygen, Carbon, Neon, Nitrogen, Silicon, Iron, and Sulfur.
The lithosphere on Earth also provides nutrients for plants as it contains igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks,it also provides us grasslands and agricultural lands.

Note:The lithosphere makes the continents of the planets as it is made up of tectonic plates. There are two different lithospheres on the Earth; they are continental lithosphere and oceanic lithosphere. In the lithosphere, the mantle’s upper layer is a cool and rigid material.
