List price of scooter is Rs. 35000. It is available at a discount of 8%. Find the selling price of the scooter.

$ \Rightarrow $Discount = $\dfrac{{Discount\% }}{{100}} \times L.P.$ , where L.P. is the listed price.
So, discount at the scooter = 8% of the listed price.
$ \Rightarrow $Discount = $Rs.\dfrac{8}{{100}} \times 35000$
Simplifying the calculations on the RHS, we will obtain:-
