Swami Ramanand Tirtha was an Indian freedom warrior, educationist and social avantgarde who led the Hyderabad deliverance fight throughout the sovereignty of Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam of Hyderabad State. Swami Ramanand Tirtha was the main spearhead of the Hyderabad State Congress. Before enchanting Sanyasa, his descendant's name was Venkatesh Bhagvanrao Khedgikar. Swami Ramanand Tirtha contracted with Osman Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VII, the Nizam of Hyderabad, following the Hyderabad State Congress was inaugurated in 1938. He partook in Satyagrahas ("non-violent resistance" crusades) and was restrained for 111 days by Osman Ali Khan. Swami Ramanand Tirtha is accredited for having moulded a ground-breaking crusade to integrate Hyderabad State with the Indian Union in 1948. Swami Ramanand Tirtha's skill to stimulate the people in performance with the conclusive military conquest of the Hyderabad Police Action is attributed with the state's positive incorporation into the India Union. Swamiji had communist inclinations originally, but would later take the renunciative oaths of the Hindu sanyasi practice. Swami Ramanand Tirtha is said to have accepted sanyas at the societies of Hipparge Rava, Taluka- Lohara and the Region of Osmanabad.
