Hint - Tuluva Dynasty was the third dynasty to rule over the Kingdom of Vijayanagar. In total four dynasties ruled over Vijayanagara. The Kingdom was established by the Sangama Dynasty, which was succeeded by the Saluva Dynasty. The Saluvas were then followed by the rulers of the Tuluva Dynasty and the last Dynasty to rule over Vijaynagara was that of the Aravidu rulers.

It is contemporary with the Bahmani Sultanate and later the Deccan Sultanates of Bijapur, Ahmednagar, Golconda etc. The kingdom was built of the ruins of the Hoysala Kingdom. The capital city, Vijayanagar was located along the banks of river Tungabhadra. The kingdom was established by the brothers Hari Hara and Bukka of the Sangama Dynasty. The Vijayanagara Empire saw the rise and fall of four dynasties - the Sangama, the Saliva, the Tuluva and the Aravidu. Hampi, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site also dates back to the Vijayanagara times and is dotted with multiple architectural wonders from that period. After the defeat of Rama Raya at the Battle of Talikota, the empire lost its previous authority and grandeur.
