Hint:The Kakatiya rulers traced a mythical chief or ruler called Durjaya to their ancestors. Many other Andhra ruling dynasties claimed descent from Durjaya as well.

Complete answer:
The Kakatiya dynasty was a South Indian dynasty that ruled much of today's Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the eastern Deccan region and parts of eastern Karnataka and southern Odisha between the 12th and 14th centuries.

The Demise of Prataprudra and the Empire of Kakatiya-
Prataparudra used this opportunity to avoid paying tributes because of political instability in the Delhi Sultanate, where there was fighting and killing over the throne's power. Muhammad bin Tughlaq, who was the son of Ghiyath al-Din, was sent to siege Warangal once Ghiyath al-Din became the Sultan and the political instability in the Delhi Sultanate diminished. This time, Prataparudra was prepared and actually put up resistance. There was an uprising in the army of Muhammad bin Tughluq when the Siege of Warangal began, and there was a storey going around that Sultan Ghiyath al-Din had died. In the Delhi Sultanate's camp, this caused confusion and the Kakatiyas used this opportunity to assault them. This assault forced the troops of the Delhi Sultanate to finally withdraw all the way to Devagiri.

This will be the last big achievement for Pratāparudra. Reinforcements were sent to Devagiri by Sultan Ghiyath al-Din, and Muhammad bin Tughluq launched another invasion. The Warangal Siege succeeded this time, and Pratāparudra surrendered. This brought the end of the Empire of Kakatiya.

So the correct answer is option C.

Note:Prataparudra was Rudramadevi's grandson and the last ruler of the Kakatiya dynasty. It was only after Prataparudra's death that Muslims were able to invade the Telugu lands to rule over the Telugu people.
