-Kerala stands at 2nd position among other states by contributing over 20% of coffee production.

-Andhra Pradesh is the next state to produce coffee of about 7,425 metric tonnes and aim to increase its production to 9000 metric tonnes in the upcoming financial years.
-Karnataka has a suitable temperature, climate and rainfall that is needed for coffee plantation.
-It has about 60 % share of total land used for coffee plantations in India, of which 50% is in Kodagu region of Karnataka. Other regions include Mysore and Shimoga.
