Hint: United Nations Security Council is one of the six principle Organizations of the United Nations. After World War II, it was established in 1945 by the UN charter to cope up with the failure of the League of Nations. Its main objective is to work for maintaining international Peace and Security.

The United Nations Security Council has 15 members. The five permanent members and the ten non-permanent members. The five permanent members are the USA, Russia, France, China, and the UK. India has been elected as its non-permanent member in June 2020 for two years terms (2021-2022). Each of its members has one vote. Its presidency rotates among its fifteen members. Its headquarters are in New York, USA. It is aimed to take military action against a State, which is a threat to international peace and Security, and passes a resolution against it. It has the power to elect the judges of the International Court Of Justice. It has powers to recommend the appointment of the Secretary-General of the United Nations. The other five members of the UN are the Un General Assembly, UN trusteeship Council, UN Social and Economic Council, the Secretariat, and the International Court of Justice.
