Hint:
Karnataka has magnetite and hematite grade iron-ore in a very huge amount. The raw material required for the steel and iron industry is iron-ore. Karnataka is the producer of the highest amount of iron-ore almost 25% of total iron in the country came from it.

Complete solution:
Odisha produced 120 million tons of iron ore during the 2019/2020 year to March, up slightly from 118 million tons the previous year which is half of the whole of India’s iron ore production. Those rocks and minerals from which metallic iron can be economically extracted are iron ores. The iron-oxides are usually occupied in ores and they are varying in color from dark grey, bright yellow, deep purple, to rusty red. Magnetite (Fe3O4, 72.4% Fe), hematite (Fe2O3, 69.9% Fe), goethite (FeO (OH), 62.9% Fe), limonite (FeO (OH).n (H2O), 55% Fe), or siderite (FeCO3, 48.2% Fe) usually rich from iron. Ore is rich from a very high amount of hematite or magnetite (more than about 60% iron) which Is known as “ natural ore “or “direct shipping ore”, which means they can be fed directly into iron-making blast furnaces. Iron ore is the raw material that is used to make pig iron, which is the primary raw material to make steel. Magnetite has a magnetic tendency therefore it is easily separated from the gangue minerals. Karnataka stands next to Odisha in the production of iron ore in India.

Hence, the correct answer is option B.

Note:
Iron is found in a very large amount and most abundant element on Earth but not in the crust. The Mining Industry contributes a very huge amount of economy to our country. The whole contribution of the mining industry in the GDP of the country varies from 2.2% to 2.5% but if we take the GDP of the whole industry sector then it contributes around 10% to 11%.
