Hint:Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India and was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. The park was the first one to come under Project Tiger's initiative.

Complete answer:
Corbett National Park, also known as Jim Corbett National Park, in northern India, a protected area in southern Uttarakhand district. It was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park and was first renamed Ramganga in the mid-1950s, until the name was changed to Corbett in memory of Jim Corbett, a prominent British sportsman and journalist, later that decade. A region of 201 square miles covers the park itself. It is part of the Corbett Tiger Reserve, which encompasses overlapping protected areas and has a total area of 497 square miles (1,288 square km).

The park is situated 35 miles (50 km) northwest of Ramnagar, the headquarters of the park, in the foothills of the Himalayas, and lies at elevations ranging from around 1,260 to 3,610 feet (385 to 1,100 metres). The large Patlidun Valley is mostly inhabited by it, from which the Ramganga River flows in a westerly direction. In the middle of the reserve area and along the western side of the park that is used for recreational fishing, the river was dammed at the western end of the park to create a large reservoir.
The park was set up specifically for the conservation of the Bengal Tiger, where India's Project Tiger was established in 1973 to provide tiger havens in the national parks of the world. Langurs, sloth bears, Asiatic black bears, Indian grey mongooses, feral cats, elephants, wild boars, spotted deer, barking deer and nilgai are among other mammals present in the park (Indian antelope). A number of snakes and species of crocodiles include reptiles and amphibians.

Hence, the correct answer is option (B).

Note: The park is open from mid-November to mid-June; it is closed during the summer monsoon season, when the roads become impassable due to heavy rains. Access is via Ramnagar, which has links to other cities in the area by road and rail. The park has roads that allow jeep or elephant tours of it, and there are several machans, or observation points, from which wildlife can be seen. At many facilities inside the park, overnight accommodation is available.
