Hint: Now first we know that the places Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Akola, Amravati and Nagpur lie serially on a certain route. Hence we will first draw a rough diagram of the route. Now we know the distance of places from Akola. Now with the help of diagrams we will find the required distances.
Complete step by step answer:
Now first we know that Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Akola, Amravati and Nagpur lie serially on a certain route
Now from the figure we can say that the distance between Jalgaon and Nagpur = Distance between Jalgaon and Akola + Distance between Akola and Nagpur.
Now distance between Akola and Nagpur is given 245 Km and distance between Akola and Jalgaon is given as 181 Km. Hence we get
Hence distance between Jalgaon and Nagpur = 245 + 181 = 426 Km.
Hence the distance between Jalgaon and Nagpur is 426 Km.
Now again from the figure we can see that the distance between Jalgaon and Akola = distance between Jalgaon and Bhusawal + distance between Bhusawal and Akola.
Now the distance between Akola and Bhusawal is given as 154 Km and the distance between Akola and Jalgaon is given as 181 Km. Hence we get.
181 = distance between Bhusawal and Jalgaon + 154
Distance between Bhusawal and Jalgaon is 181 – 154 = 27 Km. ………………(1)
Hence the distance between Bhusawal and Jalgaon is 27 Km.
Now let us find the place nearest to Bhusawal.
Now we know that the only stations near Bhusawal are Jalgaon and Akola.
Now from equation (1) we have
Now the distance between Bhusawal and Jalgaon is 27km.
And the distance between Akola and Bhusawal is given as 154Km.
Now 154 > 27.
Hence the nearest place to Bhusawal is Jalgaon.
Note: Note that while taking the places take them in correct order. Hence while writing the distance between the places note that it is written in the same order. Now we can directly add the routes as we are given that the places lie serially on a certain route.
