Hint:-The formation of a new individual by combining genetic material from two individuals of the same species but different sex, such type of production of an organism is called Sexual reproduction. It’s found in higher organisms.

Complete step-by-step solution:-Isogamous, anisogamous, and oogamous are three types of sexual reproduction in plants. These three sexual reproductions represent three-stage of evolution in plants.
- Isomac or Isogamy
In isogamy sexual reproduction, the gametes are similar in shape and size. They are shown differences only in their physiology; both the gametes are flagellated and mean motile. They are rounded in shape, and flagella are present at the end of the front. It is the first stage of sexual reproduction, it is found in algae, fungi, and lower plants.
- Anisogamous or anisogamy
It’s a fusion of two gametes that are dissimilar in size, shape, and form. It is also known as heterogamy. This type of sexual reproduction developed from isogamy, and it represents itself as the second stage of evolution in the sexual process. In this type of reproduction sperms are small in size and eggs are large in size. Either the gamete can be flagellated or non- flagellated. It is found in some red algae and flowering plants.
- Oogamous or Oogamy
It is a type of heterogamy type of sexual reproduction, in this condition egg or ovum is immotile and large in size is fussed with a small size and motile sperm cell. Oogamy is evolved from anisogamy and represents itself as the third stage of evolution of sexual reproduction. It is mostly found in animals but in the case of plants, it is found in bryophytes, fern, gymnosperm, and some algae.

Note:- The process through male gamete or sperm cells is produced called spermatogenesis and the formation of female gamete or egg cells is called oogenesis. In plants, a new organism can be produced by asexual reproduction but in animal sexual reproduction is the only way to produce a new organism.
