Hint:As we know that, Pressure on a body is the force applied perpendicular to the surface per unit area and Volume of a body is the amount of space in three dimensional space it consumes to exist. We will discuss the relation of pressure and volume in detail and then figure out how both physical quantities are related to each other.

The relation between pressure and volume was first introduced by Robert Boyle who was a physicist, an inventor and chemist. According to Boyle's law “At constant temperature the volume of a gas which is measured in three dimensional space is inversely proportional to the pressure of the gas at which volume is measured”.
We can understand it as taking an example, let us assume we are filling a closed cylinder with gas by applying pressure on it, as we increase the pressure to fill the gas inside the cylinder the gas is more likely to concentrate at small space of the cylinder, such that all the gas particles will be concentrated at same part of cylinder consuming very little space which shows as we increase the pressure the volume of gas gets reduced which is governed by Boyle’s law.
Hence, Pressure is not directly proportional to the Volume.
Note: It should be remembered that, boyle's law is valid as long as we are calculating pressure and volume of a gas at a constant temperature and in general the Boyle’s law mathematically is represented by $P \propto \dfrac{1}{V}$ where $P$ is pressure and $V$ is the volume of gas at some constant temperature.
