Hint: Chandra Shekhar born on 23rd July 1906-27 February 1931 also known by his self-acclaimed name Azad, was an Indian revolutionary and a freedom fighter who reorganised the Hindu Republic Association (HRA).

Complete answer: Azad was born on 23 July 1906 in Bhabra village as Chandra Shekhar Tiwari in the present-day Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh. His mother wanted him to be a Sanskrit scholar and sent him to Banaras for further studies. When the Non-Cooperation Movement was at its height in 1921, he was just 15 but took active participation in the movement. He met Ram Prasad Bismillah and became an active member of Hindustan Republic Association. He was also involved in the Kakori conspiracy of 1925, also in the shooting of J.P. Saunders at Lahore in 1928 to take revenge for killing Lala Lajpat Rai, and at last in the attempt to blow the Viceroy of India’s train in 1929.
Although Motilal Nehru was an active member of the Congress, he used to lend funds for the support of Azad.
In a view for stopping the revolutionary activities by the revolutionaries, Ashfaqulla Khan, Thakur Roshan Singh and Rajendra Nath Lahir were sentenced to death for their involvement. Azad, Keshav Chakravarti and Murari Sharma were able to elope. Azad also reorganised HRA in September 1928 to achieve their goal of independent India. His revolutionary activities are mentioned in the book History of the Indian Revolutionary Movement.
Therefore, option C is the correct answer.

Note: Azad died in Allahabad on 27 February 1931. He shot himself after being surrounded by the police and left with no option to escape. His Colt pistol of Chandra Shekhar Azad is displayed at Allahabad Museum.
