Hint: First remove the percentage sign and assume there are a total 100 or 1000 workers working in the company. Then write all given figures without having a percentage sign by converting them into numbers and by no of women who are not engineers can be found by subtracting the total number of women from the number of women who are engineers.
Complete step-by-step answer:
We will assume there are a total 100 employees working in the company.
60% of them are men, so according to our assumption there 60 men are working in company which implies there are 40 women working in the company.
48% of them are engineers which means there are 48 engineers in the company (according to our assumption).
As per as question,
In 48 engineers there 66.6% of them are men.
66.6% of 48 $ =\dfrac{66.6\times 48}{100}=\dfrac{3196.8}{100}=31.9 $
There are 31.9 engineers who are men which implies the rest of them are women.
$ 48-31.9=16.1 $
In 48 engineers 16.1 of them are women.
We need to find a number of women who are not engineers.
There total 40 women, 16.1 of them are engineers.
Number of women who are not engineer is $ 40-16.1=23.9 $
Now find the percentage of 23.9 from 40.
$ \dfrac{23.9\times 100}{40}%=59.75% $
So, the percentage of women who are not engineers is 59.75%.
Note:- Do not get confused with the decimal figure of men and women because here we have already assumed that the total number of workers are 100. In reality these figures are so huge. To avoid decimal form we can also assume that there are 10000 workers working in the company. But using 100 is easy.
