It was a train robbery that took place on Kakori Express between Shahjahanpur to Lucknow, carrying money that had been collected at various railway stations and to be deposited in Lucknow on 9th August 1925. The conspiracy was for the stealing of valuable items and the stealing was of Rs 8,000. They believed that the money belonging to the British government will help them to buy weapons which will help them in future to fight for their freedom, but after a few days they all were caught by the British force and were hanged.
