Hint: The World Wildlife Fund (WWF), The Nature Conservancy, Rare Conservation, and WWF Netherlands, along with ARK Nature, Wild Wonders of Europe, and Conservation Capital are some organizations who were in protecting and conserving various habitats, ecosystems, and species of flora and fauna.

Complete answer:
For preserving the biodiversity on the earth it has become essential to preserve the habitats. Land use has increased with the increase in human population and wild species have left very small space to be called home. Due to human activity more than half of Earth’s terrestrial surface has been altered resulting in drastic deforestation, erosion, and loss of topsoil, biodiversity loss, and extinction.
It is impossible for species to survive without human intervention outside of their natural habitat. For example, habitats found in a zoo or aquarium.

Additional Information:
-Habitat destruction is mainly done by migratory species because they tend to inhabit more than one natural habitat. This creates the necessity of preserving the two habitats for migratory species along with their migratory route.
-To protect the habitats, endangered species, and also to restore the health of marine ecosystems sanctuaries, fisheries management areas, state conservation areas, and wildlife refuges have been established.
-To provide a higher degree of protection to the marine ecosystem fishing, mineral extraction, and other habitat-altering activities have been prohibited.
-Damaged forest ecosystems can be restored by planting trees on land where forests have been cut down. People should be encouraged to live in such a manner that they don’t hurt the environment.
-If we own any land or in our garden, we can plant native plants for preserving the natural habitat of local creatures. This will provide protection to local creatures and also guard them against invasive species.
-According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, habitat destruction is the main threat to $85\%$ of all threatened and endangered species, by planting native trees, restoring wetlands, or cleaning up beaches in our area we can help to reduce this threat.

Note:
-To preserve biodiversity from being vanished, we need to conserve the habitats.
-Use of pesticides and other such chemicals should be avoided to protect our ecosystem from being destroyed.
-Habitat conservation is very much important for protecting species and various ecological processes.
-To conserve the environment in which a specific species inhabits, a Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) is often developed by various scientists.
