Complete answer:
Electricity is the phenomenon of the movement of matter having positive charges. It is one of the most useful discoveries for the human kind. A Village is defined as electrified if electricity is being utilized within its income providing area for any purpose whatsoever. But the Government changed the definition of electrified village by providing that a village should have basic electrical infrastructure, availability of electricity in public places and 10% of households should be electrified.

Electricity got many prominent uses in rural India not just for power supply but also for farming as farmers can use machinery to ease their work. Also, electricity can provide internet in the area and it can help them to improve their skills. Availability of electricity can reduce the manual work load for food processing and can end years-old clay stoves which releases harmful smokes. It will provide positive impact at the individual and community level.

Note: Electricity is a human discovery rather than an invention and can be observed in nature like the phenomenon of lightning. National Electricity Policy 2005 aims at providing electricity to each area and household of the country. National Rural Electrification Policy 2006 aims to provide access to electricity to all households by the year 2009, with quality power and reasonable rates.
