Hint: To know the identity property of addition we first should know what addition is. Addition is adding two numbers or values; it can be integer or decimal or even fraction value. The identity property is the one where when we add the additive identity to a number there is no change in it.

Complete step by step solution:
The identity property of addition is that when we add the additive identity which is 0 to any number it has no effect on the number. For example:-
If we take a number let $x$ and add 0 to it we get:
$x+0=0+x$$=x$
This property is very useful as it tells that it doesn't matter if we add 0 before or after the number the value obtained is always the same.

Note: Addition is a very useful concept in the field of mathematics and statistics. Without it we can’t perform any operation; it is the most basic of all. Addition has three properties which are commutative property, Associative property and Identity property all of them have different roles. Commutative property states that if we change the position of the number added it will not have any effect on the sum. Associative property states that if we change the grouping of the addends or the number we are adding it doesn't change the sum in any way. These all properties are very useful when we solve an equation for finding any unknown variables. We can use them in any manner to obtain our solution.
