The heat capacity is calculated by the formula $ = \dfrac{{{W_2}({t_2} - {t_3})}}{{({t_3} - {t_1})}}{W_1} $ .
The heat loss in the calorimeter is prevented by placing it in a vessel made up of wool or other conductance material. The heat loss can also be prevented by making the surface smooth and shiny.
