 Guru Nanak is the second most travelled person in the world; MOst of the time he would travel by foot along his childhood friend Bhai Mardana. He travelled in all four directions - North, East, West and South. The founder of the Sikh religion, Guru nanak is believed to have travelled more than 28,000 Kms in five major tours of the world during the period from 1500 to 1524.
Guru Nanak saw the world in distress due to hatred, infatuation, deception and hypocrisy. The world had sunk in viciousness and vice. So he decided that he had to embark on a mission to educate and spread the message of the Almighty. So he started his journey in 1500 A.D on his mission for the restoration of humanity. Guru Nanak Dev ji carried the torch of truth, heavenly love, peace and joy for mankind. For a year he spread his message of serenity, compassion, righteousness and truth to the people in and around his neighbourhood.

The third time Guru Nanak Dev Ji set off on his famous Udasis (journeys) in 1514 he trekked towards the north. He was accompanied by his long time companion Mardana Ji.
Guru Nanak Dev ji travelled to Una, Mandi, Rewalsar, Kullu, Manikaran, Mount Kaagbhusundi, Garhwal, Haridwar, Nanak Mata, Tanda, Nepal(Kathmandu), Chungthang (Sikkim) Lhasa(Tibet), Mount Sumeru, Leh, Anantnag, Matton, Bramaulla, Berwa(Budgam)
