Hint: Polymer is generally a combination of two words known as poly and mer where poly means many and mer refers with parts i.e. many parts as polymers are made up with repeating units of monomers where monomer is single part of any unit.

Complete answer:
Monomer is made up of two words mono + mer were mono means single and mer means part, hence monomer is known as single part and monomer combine with each other to form long chain polymers or three dimensional compounds and this process is known as polymerization.
Polymers are of two types named as natural polymers and synthetic polymers. Natural polymers are those which we obtained from nature i.e. from plants and animals whereas synthetic polymers are also known as artificial or man-made polymers i.e. those polymers which are prepared synthetically in lab by man. Most of the polymers are organic compounds which define these are made up from carbon containing monomers.
Synthetic biopolymer are those polymers which are biodegradable in nature i.e. can be used or decomposed easily and can be modified for its reuse there are number of synthetic polymers out of which two can be named as:
1. PHBV known by the name Poly$\beta $-hydroxybutyrate-co- $\beta $ hydroxyvalerate
2. Nylon-2,6.

Note:
Polymers are formed by the process of polymerization. It is the process in which small monomers are joined together through the process of addition polymerization and there are many industrial and other uses of polymers.
