Hint: The classification of energy sources can be made on the basis of whether they will last forever or not. The resources can be called as renewable or non-renewable on the basis of their availability duration for human use.
Complete step by step answer:
A renewable source is defined as a natural resource which can replenish in order to replace the portion depleted by the high consumption through various ways like natural decomposition or by other recurring processes, in a way which is finite for a certain period of time and limited to the human use.
There are so many examples of renewable sources of energy. Some of them are mentioned below:
Solar Energy: Solar Energy is defined as the radiant light and the heat from that of the sun. This energy is harnessed with the help of great technologies which includes solar heating, photovoltaics, solar thermal energy and at the same time the solar architecture. There are also solar power plants and artificial photosynthesis possible with the help of solar energy.
Wind Energy: By wind energy we mean the use of wind just to provide the required mechanical power through the use of wind turbines. This will help to turn the electric generators and the tradition to do other works as well. Using the wind energy, we can do work like milling and pumping.
Hydro Energy: As the name suggests, by hydro energy we mean the water power. The water power is derived from that of the energy of the falling or fast running water. This water energy or hydro energy can be used for various useful purposes.
There are many more renewable sources of energy, other than the ones mentioned like tidal energy, geothermal energy and the biomass energy.
Note: The examples that we have mentioned above gives us an idea about the various properties of renewable energy that is worth mentioning. Like the solar, wind and other renewable energy sources are independent of human creation, so their availability is abundant. Moreover, renewable sources of energy are much more nature friendly as compared to the non- renewable like fossil fuels.
