-The Earth’s atmosphere is divided into six layers based on temperature. Out of six layers, the most important layer according to the environmental approach is the stratosphere layer.
-A large amount of ozone gas in the stratosphere is referred to as the ozone layer, which holds 19% of gases with very little vapor.
-Nitric oxides emitted from the exhausts of supersonic jet aeroplanes. This nitric oxide (NO) reacts with ozone present in the atmosphere and releases oxygen gas with nitrogen dioxide.

From the above reaction, when supersonic jet aeroplanes fly near the ozone layer they are responsible for the depletion of the ozone layer.
