Hint: The gas mostly found in the atmosphere is ozone and ${{O}_{3}}$ its chemical formula. This ozone gas is one of the greenhouse gases in the earth’s atmosphere. A greenhouse gas means the characteristic of gas which absorbs infrared radiation from the earth’s surface.

-The Earth’s atmosphere is divided into six layers based on temperature. Out of six layers, the most important layer according to the environmental approach is the stratosphere layer.
-A large amount of ozone gas in the stratosphere is referred to as the ozone layer, which holds 19% of gases with very little vapor.
-Nitric oxides emitted from the exhausts of supersonic jet aeroplanes. This nitric oxide (NO) reacts with ozone present in the atmosphere and releases oxygen gas with nitrogen dioxide.
$NO(g)+{{O}_{3}}(g)\to N{{O}_{2}}(g)+{{O}_{2}}(g)$
From the above reaction, when supersonic jet aeroplanes fly near the ozone layer they are responsible for the depletion of the ozone layer.
