Hint: In nature, all species depend on each other for basic life processes. Humans cannot survive beyond a certain range of temperature and pressure. A healthy environment is essential for all the species to survive.
Complete Answer:
The reasons for the above given statements are not very difficult to understand if we take a look at earth and nature along with the various features of the earth.
Let us go through the reasons one by one,-
A. Plants and animals depend on each other because in the ecological systems present on earth, it is impossible for any species to survive alone. Animals depend on plants for various reasons. For example, plants are the primary producers of food. Plants also take in carbon dioxide and produce oxygen in return. Similarly, plants depend on animals for reasons like dispersal of fruits and seeds, pollination, and for the carbon dioxide that is produced by animals. In this way, both plants and animals are interdependent on each other.
B. We cannot go to the centre of the earth because the centre of the earth has a very high amount of temperature and pressure. The temperature is high enough that rocks turn into molten magma and the pressure is strong enough to cause disturbances on the crust of the earth. Human beings would not be able to survive those conditions at all. Besides, there is no oxygen or water in the centre of the earth.
C. We should protect our environment because we need our environment to survive. All living things survive only when their environment is favourable. If the environment gets polluted, it would lead to severe health hazards to all species. Due to the damage of the environment, there is increasing habitat loss, endangered species, and many new forms of diseases. Many species of animals and plants have already become extinct. The climate and weather patterns of the earth have been changing. So, to stop all these adverse effects, we need to save our environment.
Note: Increasing destruction of the environment has led to global rise in temperature and rising desertification. Humans have only been able to go as deep as the continental crust. What lies beneath is only known to by studying the various seismic waves. Plants have a higher chance of survival without animals than the other way around because plants are autotrophs and can synthesize both carbon dioxide and oxygen.
