Hint: The 4 o'clock plant as its name suggests are the plants the flowers of which usually open from late afternoon or at dusk (namely between 4 and 8 o'clock).
Four-o'clock, also called beauty-of-the-night.

Complete answer:
Also called Mirabilis jalapa, the marvel of Peru, is the most commonly grown ornamental species of Mirabilis plant, and is available in a range of colors.
It is an ornamental perennial plant of the family Nyctaginaceae.
It is a perennial, herbaceous, bushy plant that reaches heights of mostly 1 meter and rarely up to 2 meters. It may also be grown in temperate zones as an annual plant.
Studying more about the part of plants, single-seeded fruits are spherical, wrinkled and black upon maturity. The stems are thick, full, with many sub divisions and rooting at the nodes. Flowers of different colors can be grown simultaneously on the same plant. Sectors (whole sections of flower), spots, and flakes (stripes of varying length) are the flower patterns mostly found.
Also seen that different combinations of flowers and patterns can occur on different flowers of the same plant.
Another interesting point is a color-changing phenomenon. For example, in the yellow variety, as the plant matures, it can display flowers that gradually change to a dark pink color and change from white flowers to light violet.
One more interesting fact is the flowers are not formed from petals – rather they are a pigmented modification of the calyx.
Three to seven unpopped flowers are the characteristic features of inflorescences.

Note:
The plant does best in full sun. In the sun the leaves wither, then become active in the evening, when temperatures start to fall and the sun sets.
It deteriorates and dies in cold, but its underground part can return to vegetate in spring.
The fragrance of the flower is more intense and noticeable during the warm period of the day.
The plant can be grown easily and quickly in sunny or partially shaded conditions.
Earning the name "four o'clock flower", late afternoon or early evening is the time of the opening of fragrant flowers.
It exhales a scent reminiscent of the tobacco flower, and attracts moths for pollination.
The blooming of flowers remains for 16 to 20 hours and thus remains a visible part of the day.
