Hint: Frequency is always a positive in terms of statistics and when we say frequency then first it comes to the frequency in physics which is used for various types of waves and others which is used for the statistics.
Complete step by step Solution:
When we discuss frequency then we can say that Frequency distribution in statistics provides the information of the number of occurrences (frequency) of distinct values distributed within a given period of time or interval, in a list, table, or graphical representation that means data which occurs much time than a number of times the data occur it is called the frequency of a data or that number. Grouped and ungrouped are two types of Frequency Distribution. Data is a collection of numbers or values and it must be organized for it to be useful.
Let an example in which we have some data suppose the given data is the
$1,1,2,4,1,5,6,1,7,8,9,10,11,12,1,13$
So now we can see in the above data that every number comes only one time except one number which is one which comes five times so the five is the frequency of one and each number has only one frequency.
Now we can say the always a frequency in the statistics possible conditions are two it may be zero or it may be any number in the form of positive but it is not possible that frequency is zero so now we can say that frequency may be zero or any positive number but it can’t be a negative number.
So we can say that frequency is always a non-negative number or non-negative integer.
Note:
Always remember one thing that when we discuss frequency then it is always a positive integer or zero because in the data table may data is not present or maybe it is only one time that occurs or maybe it comes many times but it can’t be a negative value.
