Hint: The Asaf Jah dynasty was a dynasty that ruled over Hyderabad. They had the origin around the region of Samarkand. The family of founders of the Asaf Jah dynasty came to India around the late 17 century and after coming they started working under the Mughal Empire.

Step by step answer:
The Asaf Jah Dynasty was firstly founded by Mir Qamar-ud-Din Siddiqi in 1724. He started ruling just after the death of Aurangzeb, who was a Mughal emperor in the year 1707 and worked under the title of Asaf Jah in the year 1724. He also worked as the viceroy of Deccan under the Mughals from 1713-1721. After the crumbling of the Mughal empire and the viceroy of Hyderabad, he declared himself independent.
Mir Qamar was the son of Qalich Khan, who was governor of Ajmer and subsequently of Multan during the reign of Aurangzeb, who later became Nizam-ul-Mulk, the founder of Asaf Jahi dynasty. He was conferred the title of Asaf Jah by Mughal Emperor Mohammad Shah. The Asaf Jahi Nizam’s are generally counted as seven because Nasir Jung, Muzaffar Jung, and Salabat Jung were not counted by historians who together ruled for nearly ten years. They were only recognized as subedars of Deccan. The authority of Asaf Jah I extended from Narmada to Trichinapally and from Machilipatnam to Bijapur.

So, the correct answer is Option C

Note The last ruler of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, Mir Osman Ali Khan is credited for various reforms in education and development. He set up Osmania University, State Bank of Hyderabad, South India’s first Airport- The Begumpet Airport, etc.
