Hint: The fluid that oozes out of the body has great importance. It contains all the basic cells we need to protect our body, they also provide nourishment and air. It is pumped by the heart. Blood is liquidy due to some factors in it. Haematology is the study of blood.

Complete answer:
Blood is the fluid that flows in our body to provide oxygen, water, air, etc. It is the fluid connective tissue. The 55% of blood is Plasma whereas the rest 45 is the formed elements. Plasma is the liquid in the blood made of 90% water. The cells like RBC’s and WBC's are suspended in the plasma. The forms element of the blood includes.
Erythrocytes: these are the red blood cells which have the haemoglobin in them. It gives a blood red colour. They are small biconcave cells which become thick at the circumference. These shapes will make them flexible and elastic to pass through various vessels, especially capillaries, to diffuse the gases. The main function is to transport oxygen to the body.
Leukocytes: these are the white blood cells which are less in number than the red blood cells. They are slightly greater than the erythrocytes in size. They are the immunity cells having phagocytic properties. They produce antibodies and fight against foreign cells. They inhibit the inflammatory process as they are defence cells.
Thrombocytes: they are also called platelets. They are small fragments developed in bone marrow. They initiate the making of blood clots.
The formed elements are sales and cell fragments suspended in the plasma. The three classes of formed elements are erythrocytes leukocytes and thrombocytes. The blood cells are also known as formed elements and consist of erythrocytes, leukocytes and thrombocytes. They are formed in the bone marrow in the process of hematopoiesis.

Hence the correct answer is OPTION(D)

Note: There are various types of leukocytes in our body like neutrophils: which will fight against infections, basophils: which will forms the body immune response, eosinophils: defend against parasitic infections, monocytes: remove the foreign and dying cells from our body.
