Hint:The food in plants is stored as one of the most important natural polymers, mostly because we consume it. It is found in potatoes, rice, flour, etc.

Complete answer:
Plants make food in their leaves by the process called photosynthesis. The leaves contain a pigment called chlorophyll, which can make food for the plant using carbon dioxide, water, nutrients, and energy from sunlight. The main way that food is stored in plants is as starch. It is a white, granular, organic chemical, produced by all green plants. Starch is manufactured in the green leaves of plants from the extra glucose produced during photosynthesis and is stored in plants as a reserve food supply.
It is a water-soluble stereo-isomer of water-insoluble cellulose. The glucose units are joined by glycosidic bonds. It is the most common carbohydrate in human diets and is contained in large amounts in staple foods like potatoes, maize (corn), rice, wheat, and cassava. The starch is stored in different organs in each plant: in chloroplasts, in the form of granules and roots of the cassava plant; the tuber of the potato; the stem pitch of sago; and the seeds of corn, wheat, and rice. When needed, starch is broken down, in the presence of certain enzymes and water, into monomer glucose units, which diffuse from the cell to feed and sustain the plant tissues. Towards the end of the growing season, starch gathers up in the twigs of trees near the buds. For the next growing season, fruits, seeds, rhizomes, and tubers store starch. In industries, it is processed to produce many of the sugars used in processed foods, to produce paste used for thickening, or gluing purpose. Starch is also used as an adhesive in the papermaking process and can be applied to stiffen the garments.

Hence, the correct option is B, ‘Starch’.

Note:In humans and other animals, starch from plants is broken down into its constituent sugar molecules, which then supply energy to the tissues.
