Hint: Blood is a fluid connective tissue. It consists of a fluid matrix known as plasma and some formed elements. Plasma constitutes nearly 55% of the blood.
Plasma is a straw coloured, viscous fluid forming matrix of the blood. Matrix is the ground substance of a tissue/ a non-living substance occupying space between cells.

Complete answer:
Composition of plasma:-
Water- 90-92% plasma is water.
Proteins- they constitute 6-8% of plasma. They are of three types.
FIBRINOGENS- it is an important clotting factor in the liver.
GLOBULINS: - they are primarily involved in the defence mechanism of the body.
ALBUMINS: - they help to maintain osmotic balance. They maintain osmotic pressure.
Minerals:- plasma contains minerals like calcium.
Plasma without clotting factor is called serum.

There are also formed elements present in blood:-
RBCs :- also known as red blood cells. They help in transport of oxygen in the blood.
WBCs :- also known as white blood cells. They provide immunity to the human body.
Platelets :- they help in clotting of blood.
Plasma is the most important component of blood. When blood gets damaged due to jaundice or any disease a person is treated with plasma.

Note:
Glucose, amino acids lipids are also present in plasma as they are always in transit in the body. They are being carried by the plasma from one place to another. These substances leave and enter the plasma at regular intervals.
Blood contains three types of formed elements namely.
Red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets.
