Hint: The first person reached the North Pole in the year of 1909 accompanied by Matthew Hanson and four other inuit men.

Complete answer:
The North Pole, also called the Geographic North Pole or Terrestrial North Pole, is the point in the Northern Hemisphere where the Earth’s axis of rotation connects its surface. It is also known as the True North Pole to differentiate it from the Magnetic North Pole.
The North Pole is located in the middle of an ocean (the Arctic Ocean, also called as Polynia or the Open Polar Sea) whose waters are mostly covered with constantly shifting sea ice.
According to the data, the conquering of the North Pole was for many years attributed to US Navy officer Robert Edwin Peary, who asserted to have reached the North Pole on April 6, 1909, partnered by Matthew Hanson and four other inuit men named Ootah, Seeglo, Egingwah, and Hookah.
Robert Edwin Peary discovered the North Pole after eight trials in twenty three years. The North Pole was one of the last remaining honours of earthly exploration, a reward for which countless explorers from many countries had suffered and died for three hundred years.

Hence the correct answer is option (C).

Note: The North Pole is the northernmost point on Earth, placed diametrically opposite the South Pole. It signifies geodetic latitude 90 degree North, as well as the direction of true north. At the North Pole all directions point south, all lines of longitude meet there.
