Hint- In order to find the missing letter first identify the series or the pattern that the letters are following within a particular term and also between two terms.
Complete step-by-step answer:
Given series is: \[DF,GJ,KM,NQ,RT,........\]
Let us take the first term DF
The second letter appears after the gap of one, where E is missing.
Now let us take second term GJ
First letter appears just after the last letter of the previous term.
But the second letter of the term appears after the gap of two, where H and I are missing.
Let us move to third term KM
First letter appears just after the last letter of the previous term.
But the second letter of the term appears after the gap of one, where L is missing.
So from the above results we see that the first letter appears just after the previous term's last letter and in the case of odd term the second letter is after the gap of one letter and in case of even term the second letter is after the gap of two letters.
As we need to find the 6th term which is an even term so the first letter will be just the letter after the last letter of the previous term.
So the first letter will be U.
And the second letter will be the letters after the gap of 2 letters from U i.e. the second letter will be X leaving V and W.
Hence the missing term is UX.
So, option B is the correct option.
Note- In order to solve these types of problems related to series of alphabet. Students must first write the whole alphabet in the rough portion for their convenience. In order to recognize the series students must at least visualize three to four terms and should not make their mind in the first and second term only. As sometimes the series changes after every two to three terms.
