Hint:Pressure can be defined as the perpendicular force per unit area over which the force is applied. The pressure is inversely proportional to the area over which the force is applied. Therefore, it is easier to cut vegetables with a sharp knife because when the knife is sharp, the area is less then, the pressure will be higher. The SI units of pressure are pascals.

Formula used:
$P = \dfrac{F}{A}$
Where $P$ = pressure, $F$ = force and $A$ = area.

Complete step by step answer:
We know that pressure is nothing but force per unit area. It is inversely proportional to area and hence we can say that the lesser the area, the higher the pressure.The formula relating pressure, force and area is:
$P = \dfrac{F}{A}$

In the question, we are given pressure, force and are asked to find an area.
Pressure = 50,000 Pa
Force = 100 N
$P \times A = F$
After substituting the values of pressure and force, we can find the unknown quantity that is area.
$50000(A) = 100$
After further simplification, we will get:
\[A = \dfrac{{100}}{{50000}} \\
\Rightarrow A = \dfrac{1}{{500}} \\
\therefore A = 0.002\]
Since, pressure and force are in SI units, we will get area also in SI units.

Therefore, the area = $0.002$ square meters.

Note:Students should know the definition and formula of pressure. One should be careful while writing the formula. Even a simple calculation mistake will give us a wrong answer. So, avoid calculation mistakes. We also need to check the units whether they are in SI or CGS units and give the answer accordingly.
