After verification and authentication of the voter's identity, they are allowed to cast their votes using the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). EVM displays the list of candidates and their party symbols and records each vote that is cast. Once the voting process is over, the EVM is sealed and taken to a secure place. After these stages are completed, a date is declared and the EVM votes are counted in each constituency. The party which receives the majority of votes wins the election and the candidate representing the constituency is declared as elected.
