Definition of the far point: the far point of the eye is the maximum distance to which the eye can see the objects clearly.
The far point of the normal human eye is infinity
Now here we should have a question as to why it is infinity. So we can give the answer as when an object is very far away from our eyes. The rays that are coming are absolutely or nearly parallel and that forms the image on the retina. We can take the general examples as stars that are far away from the earth still human eyes are able to see them. Hence we can say that the far point of a normal human eye is infinity.

Eye defects: There are 3 types of the eye defects.
(1) Myopia (or) near-sightedness:
Myopia is the common vision condition in which you can see objects near to you clearly, but the objects farther away are blurry. It occurs when the image formed in front of the retina instead of on the retina.
(2) Hypermetropia (or) farsightedness:-
It is a condition in which visual images come to a focus behind the retina of the eye and the vision is better for relatively far objects than for near objects.
(3) Presbyopia: the loss of the eye’s ability to change focus to see nearby objects. It generally happens after the age of 40 years.

Note:
There is the difference between far point and the near point which we can understand by the definition of the near point.
Near point: the near point of the eye is the minimum distance of the object from the eye which can be seen distinctly without strain. The near point of the normal human eye is 25cm.
