Biotic factors include living organisms that come under internal factors, which show inter-relationship with one another whereas abiotic factors are external factors that consist of non-living things. The biotic factors include producers, decomposers and consumers, which consume energy for making up their body and they can tolerate different types of environmental factors. The food is produced by autotrophs which get consumed by heterotrophs. The abiotic factors include inorganic substances, organic substances and physical factors like light, temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind and water, it helps to provide matter and energy in the ecosystem and it determines the tolerance ranges of the environment. It also includes plain, slope, Valley and mountain which comes under topography. The vegetation of the ecosystem is also controlled by the type of soil present, which include its texture, pH, nutrients and water. In the case of light, photoperiods play a major role in plant growth and its reproduction whereas in the case of animals it helps in growth and migration.
