Hint: Water conservation is the use of water efficiently to decrease unnecessary water consumption. In the simple words water conservation means using less water or recycling used water so that it can be used again.

Complete answer:
Water plays a significant role both within the body and ensuring the survival of all life on the planet. About 80 percent of the earth is water while 60 percentage of our bodies are composed of water. Water helps in the transportation of nutrients within the body and also in the excretion of unwanted substances from the body. Water is an essential aspect of agriculture as well as industries and is also used in our day to day tasks like washing, drinking and cleaning.
Having a good awareness of the importance of water can enhance the conservation of water and water saving.

Conservation of water at school:
-By installing aerators and water efficient plumbing fixtures.
-Telling about the benefits of water by the use of colourful posters on water usage and water saving.
-Making signs nearby to the basins area to make them remember to turn off taps as soon as they wash their hands
-Detect and repair leaks at schools so that wastage of water will get reduced.
-Avoid flushing the toilet unnecessarily. Tissues and different waste should be disposed of in the dust bins, not in the toilet.
-Landscape with native, drought-tolerant plants and much regularly.
-Providing the awareness of water by the help of speech can also help in the conservation of water.

Conservation of water at home:
-Turn off the faucet while brushing the teeth so it can conserve a lot of water. Educating the children to do the same can at least save 150 gallons of water each month.
-Try to buy energy efficient appliances for your daily needs like bathtubs, sink systems and dish wash
-Continue to check for leaks. A small leak in the sink or toilet could result in use of extra water and it can also add to the water bill too.
-While washing your clothes and kitchen appliances make sure you do not waste water by half charging your washing machines or dishwater. Keep them full before washing.
-By taking short showers the water can be conserved up to gallons.
-Always try to use brooms or rags to clean rather than using water.

Note: The importance of water conservation comes from the acute shortage of freshwater the world can face in future because of the increase in population and decreased freshwater resources. Water conservation can take place by using water resources in a proper manner, making use of bucket baths and performing rainwater harvesting. Dams used to be made for the conservation of rainwater and in the production of electricity. Rooftop rainwater harvesting and surface runoff harvesting can be exercised by the households to conserve rainwater and recharge the groundwater. Use of modern irrigation and bringing about a change in the cropping pattern in agriculture helps in rain water conservation.
