Hint: Malaria is a disease that is caused by plasmodium parasite, which is transmitted by infected mosquito bite. The symptoms of malaria could be sweating, fever, and chills. These symptoms occur after a few weeks when the mosquito bites.

Complete answer:
The malaria is caused when the infected mosquito from the Plasmodium parasite bites a human. This could also be caused by organ- transplant, using shared syringes or needles from an infected person, blood transfusion. If at the time of pregnancy infected women give birth to the child, then there is a high risk that the child will also be infected by malaria.

The steps which should be taken for preventing malaria are-
• Always use insect repellents for preventing a mosquito bite.
• Always wire gauze the ventilators, windows and doors, so that the mosquitoes could not enter the house.
• Spray insecticides periodically for killing the adult mosquito
• Spray kerosene oil or insecticides in ditches, and lakes for killing the larval stage of the mosquito.
• Larvivorous fishes should be introduced in the water bodies; these fishes include trouts, minnows, and gambusia. These fishes feed on the larva of mosquitoes.
• Avoid wearing dark colored clothes, as it attracts the mosquitoes.
• Long skirts, trousers and long sleeves clothes should be worn, to minimize the skin exposure.

Note: Malaria is a life threatening disease. It could cause organ failure of spleen, kidney, or liver. Low blood sugar level and anemia are the common complications caused by malaria. Malaria is treated by taking time to time medications, as prescribed by the doctor.
