-Erosion is the process by which these sediments are moved from one place to another. Gravity, running water, wind, waves are all agents of erosion. Moving water of rivers erodes rocks to form gorges and canyons. Wind carries sand and soil changing an area's landform. Gravity can also pull soil and rocks downhill.
-Deposition on the other hand, is the process of dropping of sediments that are carried by erosional agents like wind, water and gravity. Deposition of sand carried by wind forms sand dunes. Deposition of sediments carried by rivers form alluvial plains. This way erosion and deposition work together as deposition is followed by erosion.
