As per Bohr’s atomic model, the angular momentum of the electron that is orbiting around the nucleus is quantized. He also stated that the electrons will move only in those orbits where the angular momentum of the electron is an integral multiple of h/2.
The quantization of the angular momentum indicates that the radius of the orbit and the energy will be quantized as well. Also, Bohr assumed that the discrete lines that are seen in the spectrum of the hydrogen atom are due to the transitions of the electron from one allowed orbit to another.
