Hint: Salvador Allende was the 28th President of Chile from 3 November 1970 until his death on 11 September 1973. He was the first Social democrat to be elected president of democratic government in Latin America.

Complete answer:
Salvador Allenda was the founder leader of the socialist party of chile. He became the President of Chile in 1970. After the presidential role, he has taken a variety of measures to support the poor and staff, which can be summarized as follows-
-The school system in his country has been reformed.
-Free milk has been provided to kids to increase the nutritious content of their diets.
-Land has been allocated and given to landless farmers. He objected to international companies removing natural resources (e.g. copper) from the region.
But the initiatives were rejected by the landowners, the wealthy and the priest, as well as several other political parties. His administration was overturned by the army on 11 September 1973. The army took over the port and imprisoned the Defence minister as he arrived in his office. Military commanders have ordered President Allende to resign or leave the state. Then the army surrounded the President's house and proceeded to destroy it. President Allende was killed in a military assault. The military coup was led by General Augusto Pinochet, General of the Army. The US government was dissatisfied with Allende's regime and is known to have funded and sponsored activities that led to the coup.

Note:Pinochet became the country's president, and he ruled the country for the next 17 years. A military dictatorship was founded in Chile from a democratic regime. Pinochet's regime tortured and killed a number of those who supported Allende and those who wished independence to be restored.
