Simply put, the brain is a mass of nerve tissues which combines the sensory information and directs all the motor responses.
It is also the learning centre, in higher vertebrates like mammals, reptiles, birds, & amphibians.
Our brain is roughly 1.4 kg (3 pounds) in weight and is made up of around a billion cells, known as Neurons. These neurons are the fundamental unit of the nervous system and the brain.

The Central nervous system comprises the Spinal Cord and the Brain.
