Let us draw a line with the help of the ruler, on the plane and name it ‘l’, as shown below.

As this is a line it can be stretched infinity from both the ends.
Now we need to show two points on the line, so lets name them ‘a’ and ‘b’ as shown.

We can take these two points anywhere on the line and name them by any letter.

Note: Here we should be careful while drawing as its line needs to show both the sides, as the line can be stretched from both the ends.
