Typically we see these sorts of blockages in kitchens when people pour oil and fat from their cooking down the sink. Many of us think that because heated oils or fats are liquid once they are poured down the sink which will stay there in way and can be flushed away by water or detergents from the washing up, however, this isn’t true. Fatty substances are known for their sticky properties. So, when washed down the sinks they're going to automatically attach to the pipes, gradually clogging the drains so much that no liquid can undergo.
Oil and fats will solidify within the pipes and cause a blockage. The fats clogs and reduce its effectiveness in filtering water. Instead, absorb oil on a towel and throw it within the Dustbin. Oil and fats should never go down the drain. Otherwise, the sink will have to be physically dislodged to be removed.
