Hint: Informosomes are cellular particles that are a complex of messenger RNA and protein and it is thought to be that form in which the messenger RNA is transported from the nucleus to the site of protein synthesis in the cytoplasm.

To answer the question regarding informosomes, we should first know about the composition of informosomes as well as the site where it is found. So, Informosomes are basically composed of mRNA and proteins. These informosomes are in the form of particles present in the animal cells(mark the word animal cells here) and consist of (non-ribosomal) ribonucleic acid (RNA) and a special protein. The protein of informosomes probably serves to transfer mRNA from nucleus to the cytoplasm, in order to protect mRNA from any sort of destruction during the process of transfer of mRNA, and also to regulate the rate of protein synthesis.

Now, the question may arise as to how it helps in protecting mRNA from any kind of destruction. so, the answer to this is that it consists of that form of RNA in which RNA is unavailable for translation or processing and thereby it is protected against any kind of degradation.
Now, as it is already mentioned that is present in the animal cells there is no question of informosomes being present in prokaryotes as we know about the fact that animal cell is a most advanced cell where a prokaryotic cell is a primitive cell.

In a prokaryotic cell there is complete absence of membrane bound cell organelles and everything lies in the cytoplasm itself. So, informosomes cannot be present in prokaryotes because those are the structures present in animal cells.

Note: Informosomes play a great role in the transfer of messenger RNA, which is necessary for the further procedure of protein synthesis. These are present in animal cells and there is complete lack of informosomes in the prokaryotes.
