Hint: Cell division is the splitting of a parent cell into formation of two daughter cells. Different stages of cell division involve- meiosis and mitosis in an animal life cycle where the mother cell divides into genetically identical two daughter cells. Cellular division has functions like- they can generate cellular reproduction from only one cell, the entire unicellular organism.
Complete answer:
Cell division also helps in repairment of tissues and growth of tissues in multicellular organisms and they help in formation of gametes in animals for sexual reproduction. Cellular division is showcased in cycles where individual cells are being formed. The first step of the cycle would be- Prophase. In prophase- the nucleus dissolves and chromosomes dissociate into the midline of the cell.
In the growth of hair cell division takes a major place and the roots of hair have cells which divide rapidly to push out the new hair which is clubbed. A new hair grows exchanging the hair which no longer grows or has attained the anagen phase.
A hair follicle takes $28$ days to grow only $1cm$. The stem cells present at the tip of the hair follicle are follicles which are present under the hair skin which keep on producing throughout a person’s lifetime. They are usually inactive and during a hair cycle quickly activate when new growth occurs.
The cells divide in the hair growth cycle and in three phases- anagen, catagen and telogen. Anagen is the first phase where hair growth stops lasting between $3$ and $10$ years. During anagen phase rapid cell division occurs that is hair bulb and dermal papilla.
Note:
Three stages of a hair follicle which defines the life cycle of hair. The maturation of hair leads by the activity of the growth which is possessed by each single hair. Each phase is affected by age, nutrition and health of hair. The exogen phase is where the old hair sheds off providing space to the new hair follicles to grow.
